Top collegiate education provides higher chances for success in life

There are many published articles that like to poke fun at the fact some of the most successful entrepreneurs dropped out of college.  However, they are a rarity.  And even if they may have dropped out, they will still send their children to the top schools and they will still support those institutions.

A few alumni of what many reports would say is the #1 University, Harvard are: legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs, former CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer, 47 Nobel Laureates, 32 heads of state, 48 Pulitzer Prize winners and the list is too long to place here.

Yale, another famous Ivy League “has graduated many notable alumni, including five U.S. Presidents, 19 U.S. Supreme Court Justices, 13 living billionaires, and many foreign heads of state. In addition, Yale has graduated thousands of members of Congress and many high-level U.S. diplomats, including former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and current Secretary of State John Kerry. Fifty-two Nobel laureates have been affiliated with the University as students, faculty, or staff, and 230 Rhodes Scholars (the second most in the world) graduated from the University.”

In 1999, Asia’s second richest man (as of Nov 2014), Lui Che Woo provided funds for the Stanford University Medical Centre to set up Lui Che Woo Research Laboratory.  After Bill Gates knew he would never have to worry about money again, he set up the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support Education and Medicine.
