1 Student Took 27 AP Exams in 2015
2015 was an interesting year for students taking the AP Exams for College.
Ten years prior, there were approximately 1.2 million AP Exams taken in the May implementation of the test. Here in 2015, the May 2015 set had close to 2.5 million test takers throughout the world. Of these students, there were some great clues to what current standards are in the Advanced Placement Examinations world.
For instance, 1 student sat down for 27 different exams within a 3 year period from 2012-2015. In contrast, there were:
- 26,586 students who took 9 AP Exams
- 16,580 had reached the double digits taking 10 AP Exams
- 9,734 students tested on 11 AP Exams
- 5600 took 12 Exams
- 3032 completed 13
- 1674 finished 14
- 929 carried out 15
- 491 had 16 exams
- 291 did 17
- 135 had 18
- 76 reached 19
- 35 reached the second double digit milestone of 20
- 19 surpassed it with 21
- 5 executed 22
- and 2 reached 23
To contrast the two 3 year periods:
- 365,000+ took 3 or more AP Exams from 2002-2005
- In 2012-15, 942,000+ had the same number or more AP Exams on their records
